My username is clickable.

But I live in Whitefish MT; work in Glacier NP.

We haven't had traceable rain in about 8 weeks; are under an extreme fire danger, and have red flag warnings all over the region.

Never mind the wildfires breaking out -all over- south and west of us.

Yes people without even the faintest clue of knowing that the data is absolutely meaningless might be pissed

Even a mediocre attorney ought to know enough about statistics to realize this thread tells us pretty much nothing about anything.

At the data? No.

At the fact that people are so fricking stupid they give this data any sort of credulity at all? Maybe a little. And if you are it might be time to start questioning your objectivity.

This is completely meaningless fodder for morons to lap up

Actual scientific analysis?

Do you really think what this fricking moron is talking about means anything at all?

For what? Me to educate you that wildfires and drought have occurred for thousands of years?

I have no idea, brother. I'm asking you.

Did he dispute that claim in the first place? Did you even make the claim for him to dispute?

No. You didn't. You posted random temperature stats that mean absolutely nothing and act like you proved a point. You didn't.

You seem reasonably intelligent. If you have to ask me if what this guy is saying has any relevance to anything at all then maybe I'm wrong in making that assumption.

Please outline what's meaningful. If you are so sure, it shouldn't be hard. "Actual scientific data" is not an answers to anything. If you are reasonably smart, you should understand.

Temps across the Southeast are far from random. Especially when compared from year to year at the same location.

In fact that little string of quantitative data (yes temps are quantitative data) are more precise than ocean temps for example.

Ocean temps are taken year to year most of the time (99.9%) not in the same location. A temp from '16 to '17 could be take hundreds of miles apart and compared.

Checkmate.
