I agree he should have stayed.... I know what he is doing now. He is back in LA doing well. He is in a good business with good company.

This makes sense. The man was one of the smart athletes I knew during my time at LSU. So was Bradie James.

staying wouldn't have helped his draft stock any...maybe from the standpoint of getting a degree, not sure how close he was

I heard a rumor that he left early because he wouldnt qualify for the following season. Sounded like BS at the time, this conversation reminded me of that, did anyone else hear anything similar. I wished we could have watched him one more year with Bradie James. Best LB duo in recent LSU history.

Saban told me when I asked him about Faulk that he advised Trev to stay very strongly. Saban said that he put out feelers among friends in the NFL and that Trev was not going to be drafted. Faulk left anyway.

He should have stayed for another year.

That rumor is incorrect. From what I know he had a falling out with Saban and he thought he would be an NFL draft pick, obviously.

I'm not sure how one year of CFB was going to help his 40 time.

Ding,ding,ding,ding...........Great college player. Got on with Denver for a little while then tried out with the Saints but couldnt make the roster. Just didn't have the speed for the NFL, but one of LSU's greatest LBs ever.
