Sure it's great that we ended up on the right side of the score on Saturday, but is anybody else relieved that it was "JUST" a fooball game between two really good teams?
The Officials didn't decide the game either way with some embarassing calls.
No stomping on the opposing team logo, running oover the band members, classless taunting like smoking cigars in victory...
Just a very good SEC game...
The league should sponsor these more often.

Yeah, I kept waiting for a proposterous call from the refs but it never happened,(although Alems roughing call got me thinkin), but it was probably the best all round LSU Auburn game in a long time.

I have never seen two groups of players get after one another over the last decade the way Auburn and LSU players get after one another.

Also, if you go back and watch the game check out how many times a player would light up another player and then help him get back up.

There is truly a tremendous respect and admiration for each other on our teams behalves.

What a great rivalary!

Great atmosphere, the respect was evident between the fans and the players, and even if LSU had fallen short there at the end, in a year or so I would still have to say it was great football game.

I was a little dissapointed that there wasn't another natural disaster. We've had fire and an earthquake. I was waiting for some type of tsunaimi to come through. They could have sealed the gates and let the game continue. It would have been the correct thing to do.

I agree. This last game was simply a great, mostly clean, hard fought, football game.

It was a good game with no crazy calls against LSU but I don't seem to recall Auburn getting one singal penalty against them the whole game. Did I miss something? There is No way Auburn played a perfect game without at least one penalty.

Next year will be the hurricane game. After the rescheduling of Troy this year, Joe Alleva will decide to play the Auburn game as scheduled in TS despite the fact that a category 4 hurricane is bearing down on BR.

best game i have been to in a long time. I thought all of the LSwho fans I met and interacted with were very nice and funny. Mrs. TH had the best time she has ever had. Congrats on the win and I still say AU/LSU is the best rivalry in the SEC.

Jordy said on his show the other morning that AU had cigars in the locker room ready to be busted out after a victory. He said they were going to come back out on to the field and smoke em up, but it didn't quite work out.

At the end, when Tubbs was staring at his QB and whining about a possible late/OB hit (when he should have been more interested in whether the pass would be caught) I thought to myself in total panic that the ref would throw a flag and extend the AU drive and that would be how they would steal it.

But it did not happen this time because Pittman was totally in the right. But it did cause me some panic based on the history.

I HOPE Jordy was kidding and just trying to psych the team and fans. That cigar thing is truly classless.
LSU was penalized five times to 2 for Auburn, but no calls were ridiculous. And if you think about how aggressively the game was played, it is amazing there weren't more personal fouls for borderline late hits etc. Players AND officals deserve credit for that.
Whole thing was a credit to both schools and the league.

We did have one obvious roughing the passer late, one stupid on our part roughness call out of bounds. That was 30 yards right there.

Also the legit pass interference call on us in the end zone.

I couldn't tell if he was serious, but it sounded like it . He said they had them in a glass case roped off in the locker room for inspiration.

No, no he didn't.

It is a CIGAR BOX, that Tubby uses to remind his players of the Cigar Game. He said no cigars, and no smoking of cigars is allowed on the field or in the locker room.
