They must be blinded from all the Hollywood spotlights...funny article. Sorry if it's been posted here already. Saw it on another board.

I love how he talks about us playing cupcakes in recent years and talks about the powerhouses they have played. And then mentions they played Fresno State (which we played in '06, and our fans complained it was too easy of an opponent) and talks about Notre Dame. What a joke.

i, like most, have been very bitter towards sc for the past four years cause of the "split" championship. so, for the past four years i wanted to play them in the mnc game. however, this year is NOT the year that i want to see them in the championship.

I mean I think we would be a heavy underdog in this game, but I really don't think we would get blown out or anything. Our lines, D, and running game would keep it close. Hell if the two-headed Hatch/Lee monster could manager the ball well, we could win. Remember that we truly have been neck and neck with them the past several years in terms of talent. If you think that's not true, go look at the past few NFL drafts.

How funny that if Joe McKnight was running in the LSU backfield he would be a god while out here he’s just some guy over there in Hollywood.

It's tough to say, because I don't really think they've been tested yet. Yeah, I would put them at #1 right now, I think you'd have to. But I don't think they're a notch above us by any means. I think we'd hang right there with them, and it'd be a close game.

They also mentioned that they played Virgina Tech in the article, which we of course played last year. That write is a joke.

Funny, I didn't see any mention of Stanford at home in that article??

right. and that's why i don't want to see them this year. the past few years, i would have said that we were neck and neck which is the primary reason that i wanted to play them.

including a heartbreaking loss where Oregon State – Oregon freaking State -- lost by one to LSU

This is funny. Especially since OSU would go on to beat USC the very next year.

People out here are such casual fans of football that if a team was good at some point in the last 10 years they probably consider them a good opponent.

The thing they don't recognize it that their conference is loaded with cupcakes.

I guess they are right. USC should just become part of the NFL and save the rest of college football from their overpowering team.

i wish people would stop talking about the cupcakes that are scheduled. only the smart teams schedule these cupcakes. we don't have a playoff yet. it doesn't matter if we play cupcakes, hell, i encourage it. we have to run through the sec and that, by itself, will justify a good chance at the bcs title game (no offense auburn). so i say: scheduling cupcakes is a very smart move.

Why? If we were to actually make it to the MNC, then one would have to believe we'd have a damn good team by then. How else would we get there? If this team can get through the tough schedule we have and make it to the MNC, then I wouldn't be worried about playing anyone. Bring it bitches!

Say what you want brother but there were many facts missing from that article. One is the fact that USC hasn't played an upper level SEC team in that span. And that when an SEC team has made it to a BCS title game, they are what... 4-0?!!! What is USC's record in BCS title games - I believe 1-1. And this perception that they are all-world, well, I believe the "gurus" were saying the same thing last year. SEC teams look mediocre against each other because the competition IS that good. Have a nice day!

This is the correct response. Anyone who thinks we are on USC's level this year is seriously kidding themselves. Unless our QB situation improves substantially, USC is head and shoulders above us this season.

The only reason that they lost 2 games the past two years is because John David Booty sucked donkey balls. That shouldn't have come to a surprise to anyone.

The only question about USC in my mind coming into this season was Sanchez, and he has been fantastic so far, so I see no reason they'll lose any games in the regular season seeing as how the PAC 10 is SO wesk this year.

Forgot about this one! This guy's blog has more holes than a Pac-10 secondary. Geez.

I really thought a lot of this crap would end once Stanford pulled off that upset. I mean I am trying hard to remember the last time LSU lost to that bad of an opponent while having far superior talent. Maybe UAB in Saban's first year? UAB from that year probably still would have beaten Stanford from last year.
