What is more impressive to you?

Michael Phelps and his 8 golds medals

Usain Bolt winning the 100 meter easily

I would say Bolt 100 because the way he won it with so much ease and by slowing up at the end. I don't ever remember seeing a more lopsided sprint during a Olympics. We might never see anything like that again. Plus, remember he's only 21 and the 100 isn't even is feature event.

Just wanted to see what was all of yours opinion on this.

What Bolt did was incredible, and the ease with which he did it, was even more incredible. I was floored watching him, but ultimately it was only one event.

Phelps had to be incredible over several days, in several events, in several different styles. I gotta give this one to Phelps.

This is the third time I have seen this question asked.

ETA: If a dudes last name is bolt its like manifest destiny that he runs fricking fast.

Bolt. Plus the fact that he has only been running the 100 for like a year makes it even better. And this is not to take anything away from Phelps either. Just more impressed with Bolt.

I don't know if this is a given just because he has the most gold medals

This was also discussed on another thread ad nauseum.

Bolt ran one race in a world-record; Phelps raced 8 times with seven world records. If Bolt pulls out the 200, 400, 800, and the 1600 in world-record time I will give the edge to Bolt...

Oh wait, he's specialist sprinter and only runs the 100 and 200...nevermind.

9.68 seconds vs 7 world records and 8 gold medals. This isn't the rant, the answer should be overwhelmingly in favor of Phelps.

Anyone who doesn't say Phelps has a problem in the head.

Phelps one a few of his races just as easily.

Phelps 8 golds. I'm pretty sure the 100 will see a new world record before someone wins 9 golds.

That being said, Bolt's run was easily my favorite and the best single moment of the Olympics so far.

yeah, because Phelps didn't win any of his races with "ease"

SEVEN World Records are greater than one world record

Nah, that would be the Men's 4x100 meter freestyle, followed by the 100m butterfly, then Bolt's run
