Herman Johnson

I was just at Sam's off of Seigan tonight and saw Big Herman Johnson and his mother. Two observations. 1) DAMM he is big!!! 2) I was right behind him at the register to check out and he was behind an elderly woman and her husband...both had to be in their mid to late 70's... as they were leaving I noticed that he was pushing their cart. They still were putt'n along as I caught up with them at the receipt checker guy and Herman and the old feller were talking about what position Herman plays. As I followed them out I watched Herman push that cart all the way to the old couples car, load the groceries, and gave the old woman a hug as she was getting into the car.
I could not help but think how this small instance would not be reported on ESPN or WAFB but how proud I was of him and I do not even know him.

I pushed my grandmothers grocery cart today but alas no one wrote about it. I guess you have to be the biggest LSU player in history.

I saw him at Walk-On's before the last Super Regional game. I interupted his lunch and asked if he would take a picture with me. He was so polite! The picture is hilarious. I'm only 5'0" so I only came up to his chest. He had a conversation with my family after that. Super friendly guy!! Oh and he ordered a salad.

I GROPED an old lady?? Damn, Herman was there and saw it and began pummeling me. I asked Herm why did he do that and said, "You said you was an Alabama fan"
