Why the obsession with Spurrier's age?

The guy is 62. He seems to be in great shape, and could probably coach at 70.
So let's say he comes here and coaches for 5-8 years, and wins a couple of SEC championships and a national championship.
What exactly is the problem?

no problem at all!!! call me crazy but i would love to see spurrier in purple and gold! just my opinion...

According to Mike S. he is plum wore out so there you go.

Also, according to Mike JDR is a real looker and Jerry Rice covets the LSU WR coach slot.

because we're pretty fond of our night games, and Spurrier just can't stay awake as long as he used to.
