1.Does skip have a buyout? Little faith he will hita homerun on this whole process (e.g.Laval).

2. Del Rio is a freaking USC grad. And has Jville ever won a playoff game? He'd be more of a chance than Les. What guy leaves an NFL team in he playoff hunt.

Pete Caroll never won a playoff game.

JDR wife is from New Orleans

Daughter is at LSU

New Orleans is more home for his family than CALI

Actually he is a Kansas grad.

When Mangino has his massive heart attack, Del Rio will head straight to Lawrence.

yes, it 10 million dollars. but i think we should buy him out even though he has only one year left and has nothing to do with this hire.

not with DelRio as their coach, but they made the AFC Championship game back in 1998 against the Broncos, I believe.

yeah, you're right...Del Rio has absolutely no ties or 'longings' for USC:

quote:

Underscoring the rivalry between USC and UCLA, Del Rio, on December 12, 2006, appeared at a press conference wearing a UCLA basketball jersey after losing a bet with current Jaguars and ex-UCLA running back Maurice Jones-Drew [1]. UCLA's football team had recorded one of the biggest upsets in school history by defeating USC the previous week. However, after acknowledging his loss in the bet, he removed the UCLA jersey, revealing a USC polo shirt underneath.

Yes Kansas, from your link

He has a political science degree from Kansas.

He played at USC but never graduated. He finished his degree at Kansas, while playing for the Chiefs.

Topless, honestly that means nothing. It is natural for a guy to make a bet with another guy he works with on their respective college teams.

It doesn't mean he longs to get back there.

Don't forget abou tthe DelRio and Skid standoff on the tarmac when Nicky left...
If we can wait until the Pats pummel the Jags, we may have him.

So, at this point our options are:

- An inexperienced loser who's aching to go home to Cali
- An old fart who has no fire left and only wants to play golf
- A recycled a-hole who's past his prime

we have problems.

Skip is very tired..ready for his bib and a case of Mott's Apple Sauce.

Skip probably doesn't like Del Rio due to being rightfully snubbed due to contract stipulations on the tarmac three years ago.

Skip hires win at gaudy win percentages, recruit phenomenal, just can't win hardware..Smoke, Pokey, Les..

Skip rates far below Lombardi on this hire, even with some of his cronies willing to follow his lead.

I have never understood so many folks Del Rio fascination, if LSU can't land an existing SEC HC..then..hell..I'd rather a proven College HC from a small school..Petersen, Schiano, Leavitt, Kelly,etc..

His wife and she was a looker. My dad did business with his dad back in Lafayette. I was never easily impressed by good looking girls. (I went to LSU) But she was hot.
