This is so blown out of proportion. Typical ESPN horse shite. He complimented them. I'll say his wording was kinda odd, but this is being made something out of nothing. We live in a PC world, if you say anything that isn't PC it gets turned into a story.

Pels made a great comeback to make it a game.

AD doesn't get credit for rallying his team? The warriors only scored 40 points in the second half so something went right.

Agreed (eta: minus the pc stuff having anything to do with this story). It doesn't make him any less of a dumbass for saying it.

What I mean is you have to be politically correct, as in avoiding even saying this... because it will get blown into something it isn't. I do agree he has to be aware of that, and it's not smart to even say this, even though he really was complimenting them.

I see where you are coming from. I read it like a typical bad Monty joke. We've seen them before. He's very dry with terrible delivery. I don't really mind complimenting their fans and challenging ours. The way he said it though is blowing up in his face. It comes across like he's whining about the noise when I don't think he's doing anything of the sort.

Real talk Monty kind of sounds like a dope in saying this.

I thought he was complaining about piped in noise at first which is understandable, but complaining about cheering is dumb. I sure hope we win.

1) Regardless of motive (negative or complementary), Monty shouldn't have said it the way he did.

2) I generally don't overreact to ESPN's overreactions, but this is something they are literally twisting in the total opposite way Monty meant it.

frick Golden State, frick their fans, and frick ESPN.

We're going to see that POS Oracle Arena burn to the fricking ground tonight when AD's done with it.

Monty didn't expect anything. Read the entire interview. frick Golden State and their whiny arse fans (team is moving across the Bay). This has zero effect on game.

I was at the game sitting in lower corner. It was loud, but nothing out of the ordinary. For him to complain about the crowd noise, there may be something illegal about it.

Anyhow, this is all irrelivant right now. Let's just get this game 2 victory!

Of course it doesn't....that's not the point.

That was a rookie mistake and Monty isn't a damn rookie coach; no one with an once of sense would have even ventured into that discussion. Pure stupidity anyway you want to spin it.

The ONLY point is the effect on the game. WTF? Am I trapped in the frigging sandbox or something?
