Defensive Line Depth/ possible draft prospects

there is always that chance the Saints will make a off-the-wall type of pick.
I mean somebody we didn't really talk up. Could anybody see the Saints taking Malcom Brown at #13? What about Eddie Goldman at #31? What if Malcom Brown drops close enough to #31, do we consider moving up?
Anthony Spencer was a good signing depth wise at OLB in my opinion.
Just curious what you guys think the Saints might do about the defensive interior. Tyrunn Walker is gone to the Lions and our starters up front right now are:
Akiem Hicks- LDE
Broderick Bunkley- NT
Cameron Jordan- RDE
Jordan offers some nice flexibility scheme wise but I think but he's up for a new deal after this year, right? I think he's a good player but is he someone we lock up for some more years?
Bunkley NT.
Well, I mean the guy is mainly a run defender who keeps taking pay cuts and he got hurt last year. Missed a lot of games down the stretch but glad to have him back I guess. John Jenkins backs him up and he's a big question mark heading into this year looks like.
Hicks LDE.
The guy looks down right dominant at times but its only every once in awhile. I thought he was turning a corner in 2013 but last year I'm not really sure what happened. Glenn Foster backs him up but he hasn't received a lot of playing time for the most part, right?
The Saints have been pretty vulnerable against the run the last few years. Middle of the road is about as good as it gets. 2010, 2011, and 2013 we weren't that bad but when we really needed it (playoffs). Barf.
Would you guys just like for the Saints to leave the D-line as is or would you like to see them maybe shake things up here in the draft?

I like Danny Shelton if he's there at 13

I think we pass on Shelton. He's not really that athletic.

No chance we go defensive line.
I think OLB is an option. Collins is looking better at #13 each day. We need value with this pick.

well, in the 1st round you are probably right. But what about say in the 2nd or 3rd round? More like the 3rd round since we have two picks in that round.
I guess I answered my own question with Cam Jordan. He's an interesting fit in the defense with his pass rushing ability. He's been a good but not outstanding run defender I guess.
I think we could stand to use some more depth. Foster is really about it as far somebody backing up either Jordan or Hicks. Don't really know what Spencer's role will be yet. Is he going to spell Haralson or Galette more?
I guess we could always go the free agent route to add another piece up front but I'm thinking since we have a ton of picks the draft is more likely.

Tyrunn Walker lost to lions has to be replaced. Then how good is Virgil also Foster has missed snaps an with Bunkley coming off Ir an age now being a factor with him. The big Nt out of geogia had a partly torn pec i think it was and he missed some games. So to me They have to draft two an one should be rounds 1 thru 3 and the 2nd big D-lineman should be drafted with one of the two 5th round picks.I think Jordan is a free agent next year.I would be ok if the Saints trade down to pick up extra picks be ok with a 3rd D-linemen drafted with a late pick.

Shelton is a possibility if expecting to become a stronger 3-4 scheme. If not, he would be a mild surprise. Don't see an Armstead or Brown pick at 13.
The #31 possibilities aren't that abundant-
-They had Preston Smith in and he would fit valuewise.
-Goldman
-Jordan Phillips
2nd Rd and beyond it would be more about value and how their board is stacked. I'm not as well read as usual so do not have names there. Except I have seen enough on Mario Edwards FLSt to consider him a 3rd Rd value.

i'm not able to link stuff right now but checkout Carl Davis of Iowa. I was reading up/watching highlights of him last night.
he's like 6'4" or 6'5" and is over 300 lbs. He had a good showing at the Senior Bowl. He was kind of a late bloomer at Iowa? Could be wrong.
anyway, the Packers who usually draft well have fond a few good defenders from there lately. Mike Daniels and Micah Hyde.
Davis could be a 2nd round pick or a 3rd round pick? I think he could be a real good get in the mid rounds.
