This team is one game under .500.

Considering how poorly the offense has performed, I'll take 1 game under.

That is what I'm saying. Survive April without catering then make some moves. Our offense will get better. It has to. The pitching is pretty legit.

Yeah, Gattis, Carter and Springer are the types of guys who can single-handedly fuel a winning streak. I just want the rotation to stabilize (Obie and Appel by midseason), and the rest will work itself out just fine.

So who is the ace? Keuchal or McHugh? They both seem legit.

Doesn't matter...they are a legit top two. Who's number three? If the answer is Feldman, that tells you where the weakness in the team still lies.

Keuchel is the ace. They need to lock him up now.

In you win some you lose some news, JD Martinez hit his 5th homer of the season today and is 2nd in the majors only to Nelly Cruz. I wish that fricker would have shown that potential in Houston.

What can you do? The guy had 600 chances in Houston. Do you just continue to let him hit there? I ask that as Chris Carter is hitting .070.

At the same time, he also will see tons more pitches considering who is batting around him.

That's really only 2 seasons and some change worth of at bats.

Carter has been here for 3 seasons.

Personally I think we gave up on JD a little too soon, but there's no point in crying about it now. Plus, you never know when we might be able to get him back. Hell we traded Lowrie for Carter, Peacock and Stassi...and now we have all 4

Astros are 5-0 in games started by Keuchel and McHugh and 0-6 for everybody else.

Well that's not good. Basically if we don't get lights out pitching, our typical 2 runs per game isn't enough.

Definitely going to need a starter added to this rotation before the season is over. Hopefully it's Appel, but if it's not, we will need to trade for one.
