Not sure of the ground rules but I think if the ball is clearly visible but you should have to make an attempt to field it.

Those are the Wrigley Field ground rules, though.

Yeah we had a similar situation at an LSU baseball game recently where the ball got stuck under the wall. But the ground rules say the opposite of what Wrigley's does.

If all pitchers had to throw 4 strikes to get batters out, they'd all give up more homeruns.

ugh...need one next inning...kimbrel is probably too tough with a strike zone that no one knows what is and isn't a strike.

With the umps screwing us with the two Strike 3 calls, Fowlers HR, and Bryant sucking we're only a run down

Old Cubs teams would've folded away by now. Still in this

ugh...i am irrationally angry about that blown strike out call. It's 1 call (arguably 2 or 3 through the game) in 1 game out of 162...but i want to jump through my computer and attack this man.

Glad Joe got tossed. I hated the histrionics of bobby cox, but a little heated passion every once in again is appreciated.

I'm right there with you. It was an absolute putrid call. Inexcusable.

It's really crazy that the Padres got 2 HRs and all of their runs after calls that another ump in the same crew probably calls the Cubs' way.

Clearly, Castro does not have TWTW. Scotty pods would have put that liner just out of the reach of Amarista or made him flub the catch.

hah...needs more Phegley in him. Which is why castro also needs to be trade, for nothing, and tared and feathered on his way out of town.
