My first year with Sirius is almost up. I've heard a long while back that they offer you a discount a few weeks after you cancel. Is this still the case?

I like the product, but don't think its worth the $200 a year.

I called to cancel after the first year was up for the same reason. The lady asked why and I told her that it wasn't worth 200. She then asked what it was worth to me and I said the same price as the first year. She answered ok and the call was over. Very easy.

You have the option of getting rid of everything but music channels. Not sure of pricing, but it's what the OL did. Thought she said it was under $10 a month.

I pay like $15 per month. Worth it for the sports channels.

every 6 months i drop it. when you call to cancel they will offer you 6 months for $25. tell them you'll take it then drop it after 6 months. repeat the process. you can sometimes have them set up a stop date so you don't automatically renew (that usually requires a manager's approval).

When I had it I never paid more than several dollars a month. If you're paying full price, you're doing it wrong.

Simply call and threaten to cancel every time your contract is coming up. They'll offer you a discount; keep refusing until they offer a really really low rate. Works every time.

Call and tell the you want to cancel. Retentions will ask why are you canceling? Its too high. Then you will be offered a lower amount. Thats how i have done it since i got many years ago.

You're all doing it wrong, you don't have to haggle with them. Tell them you'll pay 25 bucks for 6 months and you want a stop date. They've never told me no.

Yes, but usually I just call and tell them it's too expensive and they drop it from 220 to like 50 never needed to haggle

I do the $25 for 6 month dance twice a year.

I always say "I want to cancel. They say why? I say I only listen to (insert sport that is ending or just ended) games and the season is over. I plan to sign back up when the when next season begins." They say how about we do a $25 for six months until the next season begins. I say OK send me a bill cause I ain"t giving you MFers my credit card #."
