re: "Fast Food Workers: You Don’t Deserve $15 an Hour to Flip Burgers and That’s OK"

This is exactly what will happen, how do the libtards not realize this will happen? What good is giving them 15 an hour? The middle class will suffer more than anyone since goods and services will go up to match the increase in wages.
Another form of wealth redistribution

The best fast food workers I encounter in my area are high school or college kids. They work hard when they are not stoned and they know it's a temporary job that they will leave in a few years for better things.
Raising Canes, Chick Fil A, and Izzos are notably better staffed than your average Burger King or Wendy's.
McJobs are where people work while moving on to better things. It is where they develop their soft skills and manners and learn responsibility.

Don't these morons realize, that if the pay goes up that much, they won't have a job??? People who have more skills are going to take them for the pay.
A big part of what they don't get. Not that I'm surprised that they don't get it.

Strike all they want. They will just bring about kiosk payments sooner than anticipated. Already used a lot in Europe.
Once half the team is fired the other half will take anything to keep their job.

The number of applications will spike, and the demand for more productivity will climb.
People demanding $15 per hour "just because" are probably not bright enough to handle competition in the workplace. They'd be out of the job.

Scruffy just calculated how much he will make per hour as a resident after 8 years of school.
Anyone want to guess?

You really think raising the minimum wage has no net effect? That's cute, but unfortunately economics are not that simple. Companies can't compensate for an increased minimum wage simply by raising prices. That would hurt sales because it's not like everyone's pay goes up when the minimum wage increases.
Instead, good ole Mickey D's would just have to eat some of the cost. McDonald's turns hundreds of millions of dollars in profit in the US every year, as does Burger King and other fast food chains. If their franchises have to pay their employees more, the corporate business will have to charge the franchises less for food, cutting into their profits, in order to share a little bit more of their success with their employees.

Not likely. It would be nice if the minimum wage at least kept up with inflation though.

Great article! Been having these discussions in my class this week with the kiddos. Gonna print this bad-boy up and distribute it tomorrow.

They will literally put themselves out of a job.
When you go to mcdonalds, there is gonna be touch screen ordering. A manager will over see the front by the people.
There will also be machines in the back that basically out the food together and 1-2 people total there to make sure it runs correctly. Those will also be a manager type person.
The entire store will be operated by 2-3 people who all went through the manager schools, all of which will have a degree and get paid decent money.
The days of 10-15 people operating a store will be a thing of the past.

I take issue for one reason and one reason alone, the men and women who have busted their tale one time or another in minimum wage jobs working their way up only to have lazy incompetent workforce parties screaming for a double of pay when they bring no value to the table.

Give the whiny tards their $15/hr. Then replace them the next week with these.

If you don't like minimum wage pay go get a meaningful trade and be productive and earn more.

Why? It's not called a standard of living wage it's called a minimum wage. As in this job takes no skill to accomplish but we will still pay you something to complete it and here is what it is worth. You are easily replaceable if you do not like it.

The same people crying for this $15 minimum wage probably are the same ones who see no issue with people on food stamps being able to buy steaks, lobsters, crawfish etc....

Hard work is a skill.. and being good at fast food is a skill. It's just a skill you don't value. If you have never worked fast food.. well, it's difficult. They're typically quite good at time management.
I've worked fast food and I worked at a yogurt shop that paid $2/hour more. For less work.. much less. Like 1000% less. Do they not have the right to protest their wages? I'd say fair compensation for the position is probably around $9-12/hr depending on location.
If there's one person in this world I could kill and get away with.. it would be my boss from my fast food career
