but yeah it is impressive how many states have this in other parts of the country.

Makes this "baby step" Georgia took seem stupid.

You can use the oil but first you have to obtain it through no help of the state. Families will still have to move to other states.

It is. I am not hailing this as the greatest bill ever passed, but it did now open the door which is the largest move on the issue you can take.

Send it UPS, still what a hassle.

I almost wonder if this step was taken to see what kind of outcry they receive from citizens before further steps are taken.

Too limited to be of any consequence other than the sick children that embarrassed the lawmakers to do anything.

I can't see how it will be profitable to produce oil if there are no buyers.

Keep it illegal, we're rolling in it over here.

Too many people can't see the forest through the trees. Both those that are pro and those against.

To argue against the pro people: this is a huge win because now that this is passed they will need to come up with something in regards to growing it in the state. Families having to go to another state to purchase and possibly face huge legal trouble in transporting will cause an outcry and thus another bill. Obviously the next step is growing it in state, after that will be another step etc.

To argue with those against: I hope you never have a loved one in which no medicine is helping other than morphine, which takes away the last coherent moments you may have with that person on this earth. This plant has huge potential to improve peoples quality of life and you will only see that when you are in a position where you are feeling or seeing the pain of a loved one and its too late.

I actually was surprised to see that I am one of those that could go to my doctor today and get a prescription. Am I going to? No, my symptoms are not at a level where I feel I need it. In the past I could have used it for sure and am glad it is a possibility to start going down that road if I need it in the future.

Good post.

Colorado is about to add PTSD to the list of approved illnesses.

Welcome veterans, to CO.

I have a red card, I can purchase medical and grow, legally. Any CO citizen can grow up to six plants. Anyone 21 or older can buy recreational. Medical patients pay less, however.

Has GA even decriminalized? Until a state does that, any medical laws are mostly bogus. In Colorado you don't get arrested for possession of weed.
