Get a bucket of them chicken livers and juice from the grocery store. Throw it about 50 yards from a woodline and blow on one of them rabbit squealer calls. I've called in a pack of yotes right at dark on several occasions doing that

This is the kind of info I was wanting for this topic.

Anyway, let it be known when this is organized. I have a .22 Hornet that belonged to my Dad and my uncle. Should be perfect for this job.

On two occasions I had a yote come out and make a quick pass then go back in the woods. Came out again making a pass almost at a run and back in the woods. Guess he was scouting because the next time he popped out it was 5 of them.

I always waited till I'd hear them in the evenings doing the locating howl to group up.

This musta been what I heard late in the deer season cause one started & a few seconds after the first howl it was a shitload of them howling. They stopped and a couple minutes later that first one did it again and it started all over again. Kinda rattled my nervers abit hearing I was surrounded

Yea I've heard them do it a good bit. Eventually they group up and you hear the yapping.

They make a locator call you can blow or electronic. Never had them answer the locator but have had them come in on the electronic rabbit call

Yea I bought an electronic call a few years back but haven't tried it until this year. Got it at a stand to find out the batteries was dead
Still shot a yote that morning but can't say I called it in

I'm pretty sure I left those coolers full of water too. May be time to wash and recycle the water? May be too ugly to flush with?
