Final is on right now. Looks like Berdych is hanging in there. 7-5 to Novak in the first, 2-2 in the second.

He was better in 2011. The competition was better at the top then, and that's what matters most. More than depth.
All these young guys (Dimitrov, Raonic, Nishikori, etc.) were supposed to start challenging the Big Four. The future is now, and they just simply aren't. They're all 24 years old. If they were going to do it, it would be now. Yes, Nishikori made a final, and we have seen more parity overall. However, for the most part, the older guys are keeping them down.
The two guys who have impressed the most lately have been Wawrinka and Berdych, but both of those guys are 30 and 29, respectively. Maybe I'm missing something, but the new faces in tennis haven't done nearly as much as people thought they would at this point in their careers. At least in terms of winning big tournaments.
Maybe I'm off, but this is how I feel.

Fairly comparable imo. He's won his last 18 and is 30-2 on the year. I think he pushes the winning streak pretty far.
Plus, unlike in 2011, he ain't losing the French.

So by tomorrow Novak will have won the Aussie Open and all three Masters tournaments this year. Has this happened before?
Edit: it looks like he is the first (in the open era at least) to win the first 3 Masters. LINK
Wow.
