What if we ran some wishbone and T Formations? Or ran the Wild Cat with Diarse running it? I think this would be effective at least for some short yardage conversion plays considering that Diarse has a cannon

We can't get plays off in time running the basic I formation

We should run same offense that was used in School Ties.

We have two outstanding running backs perfect for short yardage plays. Let's just give it to one of them. We have some serious problems, but short yardage plays isn't one of them.

How about the forward pass, it is a legal play now

Then what if we did something similar to the old Tebow triple option I feel like that's already what we should be doing a lot of with Harris! Harris knows how to read the option really well! We have these dual threats and never use them for what they're supposed to be used for, we try to turn them into pocket qbs or call the rollout and act like doing that uses their full running potential

Well done. Even the worst thread is salvageable with a good movie reference.

A young Matt Damon played a pretty good douche in that flick.

I'm not saying have him cannon it at someone 3 yards away even though our wide receivers are so good that even our second strings could catch a cannon ball from close! I'm saying he could be a threat and throwing the ball deep when they think it's going to be a run or option play

It's legal, but we are still trying to work it into the game plan. May be ready mid season.

Running the "one word subject" offense will hopefully get this thread whacked.

No. No winged T, no wishbone - there just isn't any incentive to keep the corners and safeties honest, much less the linebackers - a quick modification to a 4-4 stack and you're generally fricked with the defensive athletes in our conference.

Better would be a wildcat base or some broken bone to change things up. The key is to run different plays out of a handful of base looks. Don't give away what half/quarter/single play of the playbook you're on by the formation. I don't know why that's so complicated. From a pro-set, or heck, single back with some of the athletes we've had, you can run every kind of play in the book, with the possible exception of QB draws and other things specific to a wildcat/shotgun look.
