You probably don't understand why the unsullied goes to brothel and lay with women. Your just a typical bandwagon fan.

I agree that it's still one of the best on TV but cmon Daario is terrible as he was on Treme

Yeah the last guy to green light a pilot that expensive was Lost and he got fired

People get so pissy at episodes that don't have all kind of constant action in them. Jesus.

I thought the opening scene was great to set the tone for the whole season

When did he complain about lack of action?

Thanks, that's encouraging. But do you think it should go 7 or 10 seasons?

I'm going with 8, plus a season focused on Robert's Rebellion.

Besides the recasting of some characters (that were for the better specifically Daario) it has so far been a flawless series

I mean, I love the show, but I wouldn't go that far in calling the series flawless, and that goes for the book as well. It's smart and fun, but not perfect.

LOST's Pilot was more expensive at $14 million, and it still holds the record.

You are correct. No lengthy series is flawless, even the best.

I meant the pilot, but that shite isn't the half of it

They shoot on location all over Europe with two shoots simultaneously, costumes, sets, props, paying the crew, the cast, arranging for accommodations

You'll never see a show on this scale IMO. HBO went all in from the get go.

Wow. I might be one of the few that wasn't grabbed by the LOST pilot.

nothing in life is perfect, but consider the quality of writing, acting, the production values when looking at this

this show didn't take any time to "find its groove", it starts out as is from the get go. Since the pilot there have been no lulls in the writing, no season that is poor or sticks out as being less than the others (like the walking dead)

what has the show done that hasn't met the standards that were set from the beginning? The answer is nothing. You can talk about casting and how things differ from the book, but none of that should matter when you're judging what is on the screen.

Agreed. the whole episode was essentially checking in on every ball in the air, to get viewers back up to speed. I mean, the show is ridiculously sprawling, and a season premier really should take its time to get us back in the flow of things. I'm glad this was a slow-paced episode, as I kinda forgot a lot of details. I needed the memory jog.

But what was really fun about this episode is the way it is really showing it is going to diverge from the books. without getting into spoiler-y details, it appears only two, maybe three characters, are on their explicit path from the novels. Everyone else is either on a different path, or a modified one. The show is repurposing events from the novel for its own narrative arc. This was an episode that told the Readers: "You know nothing."

I stopped watching Game of Thrones when.....

SPOILER ALERT!

Some black vapor (no doubt a smell) crawled out of some witch's vagina to eradicate one of the pretenders to the throne.

Why not just use the black pussy smell on EVERYBODY?

The series would be a lot better without all the dumb fantasy elements.

That's like saying a science fiction movie would be better without science, and fiction.
