"Fargo" ** SPOILERS **

Why did Jerry Lundergaard need all that money?

-$350,000 for the line of credit on the dealership vehicles
-$1,000,000 from Wade Gustafson for his wife's ransom (of which he was only going go give Showalter and Grimsrud $80,000) ?
- What was the parking lot investment that Lundergaard presented to Gustafson and Stan Grossman that he thought he could get $750,000?

- What did Grimsrud do to Mrs. Lundergaard?

- What did Lundergaard do with Gustafson's body?

- Did Shep Proudfoot have to go back to jail?

TRIVIA

- Whatever happened to the money in the briefcase that Showalter buried in the snow? (There is an answer :)

while we're on the subject on this board,

I have about 3,596 inconsequential, mostly nit pick questions for Christopher Nolan about every movie he ever made (and I like all of them save for the stupid al pacino one)

Some dude started a very successful chain of grocery stores with it.

There is an unspoken money problem here - Jerry has been playing games with the dealership money, possibly drugs, but more likely gambling or some such vice. Or, he's been robbing Peter to pay Paul for a very long time to try to keep up the lifestyle his wife was accustomed to.

In any event, this isn't a problem that sprang up over night that the father-in-law might understand, it is a long-standing one and he is trying this one hail mary to get clear.

Not movie related, but I wanted to know Book's backstory from Firefly.

I think we would have gotten more and more of that as the story unfolded - at a certain point, I think it would have intersected Summer's situation in a fairly surprising way (I think he was a blue hand guy at one point - that was my suspicion, at least).

The comic detailing his past left a lot to be desired.

In Oceans 11... how did the bags of flyers get in the vault?

Batman jumped out of the window and left the Joker at the party. What happens next?

This. Batman is already "downstairs", wouldn't the Joker have to exit at some point?

Nolan has 5 million things like this but he doesn't give you time to notice

His movies have great editing

So sal Marino gets in the car, in the background dent beats up his henchman right there in front of everyone hops in the car

Now the car is already in full motion at the second Marino gets in because otherwise, you'd turn the car on, and the driver may check mirrors. Marino would notice there's a deformed monster in the car, but the revelation is cooler with the driver in motion for obvious reasons
