I hate to say it but it doesn't matter if he is soft or not in that division. The Rams suck and the 49ers are falling apart so the ONLY tough team they have in the division is the Cards. I mention that because when the Cards lose big games it is always because they get burned all game by an athletic TE, for whatever reason they CANNOT cover them. 
I would rather the SeaChickens picked up any player at any position than an elite TE. FML!

Outside of 4th quarter Tom Brady and Julian Edleman, he was probably the best player on the field for the SB.

no doubt he's an excellent player, and I certainly tire of the NFL speak we constantly get, but at the same time, it's like he loses some kind of credibility if he backs off the comment.
You don't even have to back off "yeah, he is soft, but he sure won't be when he comes out of our training camp. We can help him become a complete player and an even more dominant player"
