Oh wow

quote:

New Seahawks teammate Michael Bennett still believes Jimmy Graham is "soft." We're sure coach Pete Carroll is thrilled. "Just because he's on my team, I don't stop feeling that way," Bennett, for some reason, said. "Obviously I'm going to be a better teammate to him because he's on my team. I can't do the things I was doing to him when we were playing him. ... We are a running team, so he is going to have to block and do all those things." Bennett is correct that Graham hasn't always played with the edge required of a well-rounded tight end, but his comments are perhaps some of the most idiotic we've seen all offseason. Part of Seattle's success under Carroll has been its all-for-one, one-for-all mentality. Bennett may want to get with the program with regards to his new teammate. My guess is that a reporter asked him if he still thought he was soft. He wasn't going to suddenly lie. He probably should have said, that he will become tougher just by being a Seahawk.

that was one of the first things I thought of when that trade happened.

seems like an odd fit but he should still catch his fair share of TD's.

good redzone threat.

There is a whole bunch of stuff I could tell my boss that is "right", but would still get my arse fired seconds after saying it.

Didn't he ask for a trade?

Seahawks DE Michael Bennett says he never requested a trade. "Man, like I said, they made rumors about Jesus, they’ll make rumors about anybody," Bennett said in a Thursday radio interview. "I never asked for it. I didn’t come to them asking for a trade." Bennett insists "everything is good" between him and the Seahawks. That may be true in general, but Bennett also spent a portion of the interview ripping new teammate Jimmy Graham. There will be a fence to mend.

I bet when that thing in Seattle does go south, it's gonna go down in flames, players pointing fingers and otherwise losing their manners with each other. A real shite show.

I think Loomis and the Saints are going to come away from this trade looking like geniuses.

Graham is going to have a rough time in that division.
