would a fishing camp be called a fishing camp if a fishing boat wasn't there to fish from?

I believe you're only allowed to call it "The Camp".

I'm pretty sure the only requirement to purchase land anywhere is that you are competent to enter into a contract. And have the funds of course

As long as you use an open face at the camp, I don't see a problem

that gif makes me laugh o matter how many times I see it.

To the OP, I bought a camp with a buddy before I owned a boat. I just fished with him until I could afford my own. And nice try at being funny.

Yes, my mother-in-law owns a camp on the Diversion Canal, and doesn't own a boat.

No, but if you don't tell anyone, the boat/camp police won't look too hard for the violation.

No.

If you're caught it's punishable by either 10 years in jail or a $500,000 fine.

What is good for the Mother is good for me. We will be neighbors.

They've had the camp for 6 years now. It works out great for me. She pays for the camp, and I have a rest stop while boat riding.
