Steering Wheel Alignment

My car tracks straight and is aligned, but the steering wheel is crooked and is driving me nuts. Read a few articles and looked at some pics. Is it really that easy: loosen two nuts and rotate the collar?

But why not just pay for the alignment? They'll straighten the steering wheel as well.

I guess that's possible, but from what I've read it's a 15 minute do it yourself job (with no labor costs and 2 week wait scheduling a service).

I think you can actually just pull the steering wheel off and put it back on straight, if I am not mistaken...but you have to have a steering wheel puller to do that, as it slides over some splines on the shaft...
