Going Tomorrow with my family. Two adults and two teenagers. going to do the waterfall repel and zip lines for sure not sure which is better that national park deal or Tortuga island snokeling. (Yes I know about the ship that sunk and killed three people a few months ago)

Also, and my son and I would like to catch some sailfish and/or roosterfsih but not break the bank doing it. Also, should I bring my travel road and some lures (Which ones if so) and try to catch some fish surf casting or from a kayak? We are staying at the Los Suenos Marriott if that helps.

If anyone knows s best way to get a good small boat or a share at the Marina. (Or a good contact name) Just two of us and can't justify 1500 bucks for a 40 footer unless I bring my wife and daughter. (Who will want to go back in after an hour and thus defeat the whole thing) Wife hates boats my 13 year old daughter is great little fisherman.

Also, winds are 10-20 mph all week. That would mean 3-5 foot seas here. I am hoping that it doesn't there. Not even sure how to get a coastal marine forecast there.

Thanks

Go to the bridge with the crocodiles!! Teach your kids the circle of life by throwing chickens off the bridge! You can buy chickens for like $5 from the tico kids selling them.

I have a bunch of things to do there but family pretty much eliminates all of them except fishing

With those winds you'd have to charter one hell of a boat

On the way from the airport you will pass the bridge with all the crocodiles.

one thing I did that was fun was a 4 wheeler ride from jaco up into one of the mountains. They brought us to a river up in the mountain with a big waterfall you can climb up and jump off of. It was fun. The zipline is pretty fun.

We did a tour through the national park. The actual tour is actually pretty cool, but when its done you are basically dropped off at a really nice beach. Watch the damn raccoon's they walk down the beach going through your shite looking for food. The only way out the exit is to wait until the tide goes down and the channel of water between you and the exit goes down. You can swim across before the tide goes down, but there is a whole lot of "crocodile" signs. I didn't want to test my luck.

For fishing, there is a huge marina at the marriot resort right outside of jaco. That is probably your best bet for finding a good charter, but you are going to pay regardless.

Quepos and Manuel Antonio are like 45 minutes away. The Manuel Antonio National Park is really cool. Gorgeous beaches there with monkeys everywhere and if you hire one of the guides to walk you through they can show you a bunch of other wildlife you wouldn't necessarily see on your own(ex: sloths...they are on a population decline because they are so slow so the wildcats eat them).

Yeahhhhhh, I went to Jaco this time last year....and ahhhh fishing was not what anyone.....ANYONE was thinking about in that small town. But we still had a good time, the beach is really pretty and Tortuga island is super nice.
