Mel Gibson kicking the crap out of Jet Li at the end of Lethal Weapon 4 is hard to top.

Anything that doesn't have tattooed trash taking their shirts off and yelling at each other for 15 minutes, before one of them takes a wild swing and falls down.

Scarlet johanssen beating up 9 armed security guards by jumping around and flipping like a gymnast in Iron Man 2. I'm not a person who roll my eyes but you couldn't tell the difference between me and a warging Bran Stark.

Watched and loved this so much as a kid, but come on. I don't want to go back now and ruin it.

Not a movie, but Burt Ward as Robin besting Bruce Lee as Kato on Batman was hilarious.

The fight scene in They Live was the first to come to mind.

My wife and I watched Jason and the Argonauts recently with the kids since we loved it when we were young...holy crap, it was horrible. Every one of the fight scenes were laughable.

Arnold fights a bear.

Fighting and acting is top notch all around. The bitch slap at 1:30 is my favorite.

I think choreography has just gotten so out of hand...I mean how much choreography did "die hard" have...and that's one of my favorite fight scenes ever made.

I think the more real and visceral, the better. 9/10, characters in movies don't even break a sweat in fight scenes (well at least nowadays)

You're welcome for the nostalgia and the laugh.

is it unrealistic? Two computer programs fighting in a virtual reality, I'd imagine all of that shite is pretty realistic

As much as I love it, Rocky 4 is pretty ridiculous. There are times when they're missing each other by damn near a foot. And I don't care how much "like" a piece of iron he is...he's not a damn piece of actual iron.

there's two aspects to this debate

unrealistic as in "they don't look like they're fighting", or unrealistic in a "that's so over the top that would never happen"

Blending both, I think the pirates of the carribean might have the 5 most unrealistic fight scenes in cinematic history...

going on the former, sonny beating his BIL in "the godfather" comes to mind

the latter sends images of transformers endlessly fighting in the most over the top show off way imaginable...and those fights are like an hour long
