North Iberville/Shady Grove for the win.

A portion of the outfield fence was barbed wire to keep the cows in the pasture. The dugouts also had chicken coop fencing and had a weird series of wooden post running through the dugout that you had to step over.

The barbed wire took the cake though

Back in the 80's early edition, Tara had a chain fence or something in left. Short field but the net or whatever was pulled up high

played at Hammond one year, dirt hadn't been watered and had kinda blistered, crabgrass everywhere

and Scotlandville, man they restarted their program or something we played them @ scotlandville one year. Unreal field. Just horrible. Actually felt bad for those guys, and we just pounded their pitching, my Hs had a solid playoff yearly program back then

Hated playing at Denham Springs because the foul line was a series of painted 2 x 4s running down the length of the field. I always thought I was going to get a spike caught in the foul line chasing down a pop fly and tear an ACL or something.

No dirt and chain link around the outfield that's a foot off the ground.

Probably has changed, but when we played against Woodlawn, Captain Shreve and Green Oaks there were no outfield fences. Parkway had a short left field and high fence (ala Fenway) but had no fence in right field.

Best part of Monday night was the owl fans chanting "overrated" to Tre Turner just before he hit that bomb! Was a great crowd, that's got to be Chalmette's best team in the last ten years

Delhi High's field was a livestock show arena.

The field at McKinley High in BR was horrible years ago….I have no idea how they were even allowed to play on it. Holes everywhere, the dirt had grass growing out of it. Very depressing.

I absolutely ate shite after stepping in one of those holes.

this is nothing like the Pete Goldsby field of the late 90's. What did they fix it up for? Looks pretty cool now.

Pretty sure it's BRCC's home field

I played ball at Northeast in Pride/cheneyville area, have any of you played at our old field? We had a short porch in left that was about 275 from home plate. The short porch was because of the janitors quarters which was a pink house. Many a hitter hammered dents in that roof.

Troy Ainsworth hit that ball at St. Paul's. I had a nice view from the dugout as a freshman. Too bad I watched you guys choke that game away! We would have gone all the way!

Not sure if it was Iowa or a public field in the area but the light poles were inside the fence.

Gaetti and tigerchief, where did you play high school ball at?

I pitched for Belle Chasse and want to make sure it wasn't me you were hitting bombs off of

Actually, they've done A LOT of work to the field and surrounding area... They made the fence in the outfield more proportionate.. It used to be a rectangle, 305 in left, 405 in center and 275
In right

I was at the game as well, but as an alumn. What a punch in the nuts. Glad Mike Woods is at the helm in Buc-town to bring back the mojo.

Las Vegas Tiger, were you class of '99?

EBRP schools were all quirky.
McKinley, no Outfield fence and a cucumber patch in Right Field, we had a JV game get called midway through because of a shooting in the appartnemtn complex behind the stadium.

GOHS, had a short porch, an incline, and a valley.

Istrouma and Capital, pretty much just a pasture with a backstop
