I've never had a problem getting the pharmacist to give me up to a week's worth

Last week I tried to get a script filled two days early so I could mix it with some other shite I was picking up out of town.

Those fricks at the pharmacy wouldn't refill for me, even after I got authorization from my insurance company.

frick those people. Do your job: gimme my dope and shut the frick up.

Note to pharmacy: I ended up getting 6 80mg Oxy's, so you.

If it's for a CII controlled substance, like adderall, oxycontin, etc (usually written on green paper but depends on the state) and has a hand written date on it by the doctor, they legally cannot fill it. Even if your doc calls the pharmacy. If it's not a CII then its up to the pharmacist. i used to be a tech

it's not "those people" it's the DEA and the FDA. If it wasn't oxy or another CII, it wouldn't have mattered.

You try to bring it in a day earlier than the date on the paper and both you and the doctor will be fricked. Big time with a schedule 2 drug.

Just take a day off. You will live.

Lot of misinformation in here. The script can't be filled any day BEFORE the date on the script. End of story. Doesn't matter what the medication is.

Can the doc have an overlap on the dates?

Like my doc could fill me up on 4/2/15, and then give me another script that has the earliest fill date as 4/28/15? I just always hate the hassle of having to get the script EXACTLY when I run out. As noted before in the thread, there are times when you go on vacation, business trips, or the pharm runs out of the particular drug and needs to order more.

Just needs to be a better system. This controlled substance bullshite pisses me off. I should be given the opportunity to build-up some sort of credit based on my handling of the drug, where I dont have to go by scribble-scrabble dates to get my script filled.

FWIW, ever since the new federal regulations went into effect on my pain meds (Hydrocodone), the no refill bullshite has been really cramping my style. My doctor avoids the no refill thing by just giving me both current and post dated prescriptions. On a couple of occasions, I have attempted to drop off the post dated RX one day early to be picked up on the actual listed date. Both times my pharmacy refused to even ACCEPT the script until on/after the date listed. Under the prior law, I could usually refill my 22.5 day script on day no. 18, and absolutely no later than day no. 20. As with anything, YMMV, YOLO, and this is all pertaining to SWIM. Etc.
