who are the top players at every position under Miles

There have been many 'top players' under Miles. The question to be mulled is did he get 'top production' from those top players or where they used in the best way to enhance their skill sets?

Sadly, in many cases, no.

than start another thread about it. not every thread has to be a "shite on Les Miles" thread. it's already been tarded up enough by the morons that can't go 5 minutes without mentioning Jefferson

I'm sorry, but there is no way I wouldn't put Montgomery over Jackson. Jackson may have gotten a high round draft pick, but Montgomery was much better. Montgomery could not only contain the run, but he was a top level pass rusher with 17 sacks and 26.5 TFL in a two year period.

I'd also put Landry over Beckham. I think people's view of Beckham is clouded by his rookie year in the NFL. Landry was better and better against tougher opponents.

Also, Ali Highsmith is going over somebody.

You almost had it right. Claiborne goes over Mathieu as a left or right starting CB. Mathieu is the best nickel back or you could put him at the safety position over Laron, but Claiborne was the best shutdown corner his junior year and the second best his sophomore year (behind Pat)
