Probably just more of a normal person. Can't win a national championship in Big Cat Drills though I think Bama claims a few.

My "rudimentary summation of our offense" was a joke first of all. You come across as one of those people that's so desperate to seem smart that you'll take a joke on a message board as an opportunity to call someone short sighted and act arrogant so that's cool I guess but yea, again, it was just a joke. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to understand that if we let the media run wild in our practices that it would have negative repercussions.

And for the record, you're talking out of your arse. Our problem hasn't been depth, our problem is that we're the only team in college football that runs an offense that takes 4 years to get acclimated to. Is Cam Cameron a great offensive coordinator at the pro level? Yes. Is he adjusting his scheme to better fit the fact that he needs to get QB's ready in two years rather than five? Not really, and the fact that we had a sophomore QB that was completely clueless last year probably cost us a national championship. The great coaches don't shut down their offense because "we have to ground and pound until Jennings can complete a pass", they adjust to their personnel and make it work. For you to cite the Ole Miss and Alabama games as successes for our offense last year is a joke, we scored 10 points in both of those games bud.

Seriously? I think that every SEC coach knows what play we are going to run better than half the time without any game tape, much less Spring practice tape.

Footbal, at its core, is about winning individual matchups. This drill shows how good individual players are at doing that.

The rest of the practice would point out flaws for individual players, which other coaches could use to exploit to win individual matchups, as practice is there to work through individual weakness, not just practice plays.

Its not that difficult of a concept. Most of football practice are individual drills. Probably only like 30% is actually dedicated to practing plays, much less their sequence.

This is what we have to go on for spring practice, if you dont like it or dont get much out of it, just dont watch. Nothing wrong with that.

Is that not what they did?

No. We were young at more positions than qb last year. If you dont blame 2013 on the qb, you really cant blame 2014 either.

No. I am totally with you on this. Big Cat Drill is played out. If they want to do it on their own behind closed doors, then great….I don't need to see it every day.

I think the types of guys that are a fan of this drill are the guys that drive big arse trucks, eat at Hooters or Twin Peaks, and think MMA is a cool thing to watch on a Saturday night.

Throwing 10 passes a game isn't adjusting to personnel. Go watch Jennings' high school tape, he's way more talented than he currently looks in our offense. We're the only team in the country that's had five 4* QB's that all look like complete busts because the guys are severely overthinking Cam Cameron's cerebral arse pro style offense that takes 5 years to understand. He needs to make an adjustment and water it down or give the players less to keep track of at one time so our QB's aren't so tight and clueless on the field. We have easily and consistently the worst offensive production in the country compared to our talent and you people are acting like everything's perfect and the coaches are doing a great job

Again lsu fans are deluded in thinking everything the team does is for them.

Just like the ones that hate piped in music that gets the players hyped

So, I guess the spring scrimmage is out for you?

Big Cat has been around a long in some form or the other in football. I can take it or leave it as a fan.

It's already been water down since last year.

It's great for being physical but we lost more games the past 3 seasons despite how physical we play. I'd give up a little physicality for smarter play calling and execution.

Do you have any evidence to support that? I'm not sure how you can claim that the offense is different 3 weeks into spring practice unless you're Cam Cameron

Your jokes are neither funny nor original.

I could care less how I came across; I stand behind my words.

Our problem is absolutely qb depth. Miles uses a system that prepares college athletes for the NFL. Thanks to gimmick highschool offenses, many talented players have the talent, but not the intellectual grasp of a more advanced offense.

You said yourself we have recruited continuously 4 star qbs, why would they come here if they didnt trust Cam, Miles or the system?

Mettenberger specifically said when Cam got here, the first thing he did was sit Mett down and ask him what he felt most comfortable running, what were his favorite plays, and they decided together to develop a system around those two pieces.

Nearly every QB that has studied under Cam, or even highschool QBs that just sit down and have a conversation with him rave about his coaching style and philosophies.

At the cost of preparing our athletes for NFL offenses and not becoming a gimmick offense (many teams have high powered offenses, but lose the big games when prep time is allowed, if I have to cite examples then you dont follow CFB), we have to have at least three years prep time before a QB really shines in our system.

There isnt anything wrong with that, again, its been a depth issue. Ryan Perrilloux with lack of backups, Lee/Jefferson both saw the spot light far too early and whatever potential they had was ruined... Zach Lee, Liggins, and that qb from Mississippi whos dad was a Miss State alum and got fat....

Thats the only thing that I think Alabama has done better than us in their last 6 years. Recruit QB in numbers and develop them before playing them
