Had my wife call in sick once when I had larygitis. Went in the next day with it, so they knew I wadn't no jive.

My wife called in sick for me. Of course, I was undergoing emergency surgery, at the time...

My husband has called in for me, but I was in the emergency room so I felt it was ok. Went in during the middle of the night so I wasn't going to text my boss, which I normally do. I work for a small family company so my bosses know him though.

I'm not allowed to leave the office unless it's a scheduled day off, not even for a doctors appointment for an hour. I get 5 vacation days, so yes I use my 5 sick days I get a year.

Depends on whether or not you trust the person. I had killer flu a couple years ago and had my wife call in one day. Nobody questioned that.
