Spin Off - 2015 Tahoe/Suburban redesign

So this thing has been out a while now and I haven't talked to a single person who likes it. The most common comment is that it looks like a hearse. I am actually about to buy a pre-owned just to avoid this redesign with the hope something better will come along in a couple of years when I buy again.
What are your thoughts on this look? Do auto executives really sit in a room some place and decide this is a good idea?
What they got rid of...

I like the new yukons and tahoes, I do prefer the nose and tail end of the yukon though.
That second pic you posted, is that the new Z71 Tahoe?

The Chevy redesign is hideous from the front. Hasn't grown on me at all.
The new GMC Yukon however is very nice.

I don't mind them. They have a Z71 version that I like a better than the regular model. I'm finally starting to see them out and about.
If I had a family of 5+ and needed to tow a lot, I'd probably consider a Suburban or Yukon. I prefer the GMC Yukon.
Full sized SUVs have gotten really expensive.

They are extremely comfortable to ride in. I'm just not a huge fan of the new design. I also think the '15 Tahoe/Suburban prices are outrageous.

The interior is really where the upgrades show. Still way overpriced for what they are, $60k for a Tahoe?

I like both the Tahoe and the Yukon
Guess I may be in the minority

Exactly, $60k for a Tahoe is a joke.

No one should be paying sticker on these. You can get $8k off easy right now. And cars are just expensive these days.

In a world with $55,000 half ton trucks and $40,000 minivans, is it?

I have the new Tahoe. It took a little while to grow on me but I absokutely love it now. The interior is fantastic and it rides like a dream. There are times I'll look at the speedometer and I'm doing 90 and don't even realize it.
Edit: Mine was $56k.

I like my 2012 Tahoe, I'll wait for another redesign before I even think about getting a new one. However, the more new models I see out there the less I dislike the design.

I like it. It will grow on you. My only complaint is in person, look how small the mirrors are

It sucks so bad that I plan on buying a 2013-14 edition this year.

Yep.
Buick charges $30,000 for a midget crossover with a 1.4 liter engine.....and judging by how much they sell, you'd think they were giving them away.
Cars have gotten insanely expensive. I don't think wages have climbed that fast. People must be financing them with 6 or 7 year loans.

Silverados are cheaper and essentially the same thing unless you have 4+ children.

I was watching a comedian somewhere and he said it looked like a hearse

Those prices are not as bad as used car prices. I looked up used f150s just for shits and giggle the other day and they were charging like 37K for a car with 80k+ miles on it. GFY.

No one is paying MSRP, and those at the over $30k price point have lots of features. You can get a pretty loaded one for under $25k and the base one under $20k.
