Yea I actually got it twice after my son brought it home. The second time it was the worst I've ever had. Threw up for 12 hours about every 30 minutes. I haven't been the same since. Literally, I am now lactose intolerant because of it.

I got a bad stomach virus after my surgery 4 years ago. To this day, my stomach has never been the same.

Forgot to add this, and it's important if you don't want this stuff to come back and keep cycling through your family.

Buy Hydrogen Peroxide wipes and spray and hose down everything. These viruses are very hardy and can live on surfaces for a long time. Bleach and lysol type products can kill it but you have to leave it on surfaces for at least 10 minutes. Hydrogen Peroxide is much more effective and safer. Also make sure to at least daily, wash all of your bedding.

So to recap:

1. Probiotics work

2. Hydrogen Peroxide wipes and spray

Trust me, you'll thank me for both of these tips.

Tons of probiotics would have pretty much stopped the diarrhea in its tracks. Hopefully people remember my tips.

I had it but never stop eating. No medical proof, but eating a lot makes it go away quicker for me.

Son had to go into hospital for IV because he was dehydrated so bad. (20 mnth old)

I laugh at these stories because this virus really sticks and everyone tells these types of situations.

I'm just glad it only lasted 3 days for me. You get to a point where you stop wiping because of raw arse and just jump in the shower. It's horrible. Thank God I was in a hotel.

What do these technically do? Clean your system? How do they work?

The studies I've read suggest that it overloads your gut with good bacteria and because there's only so much room in there, they basically fight each other for room with the good stuff eventually winning out. It's a simplistic explanation but they do work if you keep taking them.

Yesterday at lunch, I ate a salad, and within two hours, I was shitting out lettuce for hours.

For dinner, I ate a Big Mac, fries and coke. Still no results to post, but fast food appears to be >>>> than salad when battling this abomination.

Is this virus across the country? The south? What do we know about its current range?

I know of a bunch of people who have contracted it in the Gulf Coast region.

No idea if it's bad elsewhere.

I appear to handle viruses like this better than most. I don't get a fever, nor do I have to puke. The only effect on me is my arse turns into old faithful for a day or 2.

I just ate some bacon and oatmeal a few minutes ago.

Fingers crossed.

This is just what I want to hear before taking a cruise next week. I am A) afraid of getting it right before the cruise and B) afraid of someone getting it and bringing it onto the cruise, we've all heard those nightmare stories!

Do you know it's spread by poo particles. You ate someone's poo.

Everyone remember to wash their hands.
