With New Orleans hosting a big league racing event I couldn't resist the chance to finally see these cars run in person. I'm going down for the day Saturday, hoping that even though I won't see the "main" event, it will be the day packed with the most racing, with 6 different series running and qualifying for the indycar race.

I have to drill that weekend and I'm effing pissed I'm missing that race. I may try to go Friday. I did get a taste of it at Houston last year and it was pretty cool though you can't see as much track as Nascar.

Indy races are a blast. You had a chance to go to the race at Barber? One of the most beautiful tracks in the US. The bright green grass, pine tress, and blooming azaleas everywhere...

Just found out a buddy scored tickets along with paddock passes for all 3 days, and one of the sets is for me. I'm pretty stoked to see these cars racing in real life.

Been to Texas and watched Indycar twice. Would love to see a Grand Prix race. TV does not do justice to the speed these cars are going. You will love it

I will be there Sunday for my first experience. I'm a Formula 1 fan but will give this a try
