What about people who poorly construct sentences?

I let them know they are, I would want someone to tell me if I was.

Nothing is worse than hearing a judge say, "Now, counselor, I 'axed' you to...".

Just shoot me

It's actually a breach of etiquette to correct someone's speech without solicitation--especially if it's not done in private or if the person in question is not a close associate (family, close friend, subordinate colleague).

ETA: Half the threads on the OT could be eliminated if you people bought a goddamned book on etiquette, a travel guide, and a job-hunting/resume guide.

Well ya, I wouldn't do it to a stranger, but if I know the person I let them know. I tell them I do it all the time, I don't, and I always appreciate being corrected so if they ever catch me they should correct me as well. I would however appreciate people telling me if I was. Just like if I would want people to tell me if I had food on my face, my fly was down etc.

I use PICKerdee to cut through from Essen to Bluebonnet.
That is the correct pronunciation of the word. Picardy. It is not peh-card-ee.

Brother in law told me about a mutual friend who has "esilepsy"

I asked what does he have? He repeated esilepsy.

Kept my mouth shut.

Sack a lay when it's really white perch grinds my gears.

What really grinds my gears is when someone doesn't know that it's Sac a Lait and not Sack a lay. It also grinds my gears when someone doesn't know that Sac a Lait, also known as Crappie, are not the same as White perch.
