I know king kooker burners aren't too great but what about their pots and baskets? Is a pot a pot when it comes down to it or what?

Depends.

I do 8-10 per season at minimum, I have a really nice pot.

I started with a king kooker I won in an auction.

After the first year the burner broke. After the second year the pot was warped and just cheap and shitty in general.

A pot can definitly be better or worse. Not all are the same. But it depends on how often you use it and how picky you are.

I read somewhere in a review that a kink kooker pot made someone's crawfish have a metal like taste. Any problem with that?

I only have issues with their burner. I've had the pot for 4 years and it's held up

I've had the 100 quart pot for 3 years now and boil crabs and crawfish about 20 times a year with no problems, but I've had an issue with the burner as well. The regulator was messed up and I only had it for a few months, it's now an ornament in my attic.
