Last weekend, I hung out with my best friend, an ortho surgeon who practices in Oakland. He told me a friend of his, a good looking chick, was making a ton of $ selling Oxy and similar painkillers--to doctors, that is. I thought that gravy train had derailed, but I guess not.

Good luck getting a pharmaceutical job unless you're an OT 9.

My friends wife sells these surgical robots and makes north of 500k a year. The robots cost a few mil each and actually do the surgery, they just need a surgeon manning the controls like a video game. You could have a surgeon actually perform the surgery from across the world......crazy shite!

As a salesman that has done pretty well over the past 12 years, in the same medical field....wtf do you expect em to do...you are paid damn good money to sell. Not try to sell, or be a good dude, or check all the boxes. If you don't like to compete, you should just do something else for a living.

Been in medical sales for 20 years. All different types. What I've found is you need a good territory, good products, good manager, and good company. If those line up it can be very lucrative. Some reps will get the hot product and make a ton of money till the next company comes out with the newest drug or implant.

Had a co-worker who made half his income off of one doctor. Made about $280,000 a year til the doc dropped dead of a heart attack. Half his income gone over night.
