Actually not really sure. I wood* guess pine or cedar. I'm sure it's the standard $2 fence board from Lowe's. Bought the house with the fence already built so just looking to give it a cleaner look without having to pressure wash it every year.

hard to tell without knowing what kind of shape its in. may not be worth doing if its starting to turn greyish.

Even if the pressure washer turns it back to what it looks like when it is stocked on the shelves? Obviously would let it dry out before staining/sealing. The house is 11 years old...my guess is the fence is 5-7 years old.

Just did this at my house. It came out great, but be prepared to spend more money than you think. It took me 15 gallons to do 90ft of 6ft shadowbox fence. I used benjamin moore oil based semi-transparent stain. It really soak up the stain. I used a airless sprayer, but if you have the time you can roll it on and you will have a whole lot less waist. At $45/gal it can get expensive.
