Rep. Dalton Honoré (D-Baton Rouge) has filed House Bill 117, calling for a proposition election in which voters would decide if the state should make legal the possession, distribution, and dispensing of marijuana. According to the bill, only residents 21-years or older would be able to legally possess marijuana. Synthetic marijuana would remain illegal, according to the proposal. If the bill passes, the measure would go on the November 8, 2016, ballot

I'm not holding my breath. We'll be one of the last states holding the line.

Exactly. Even our democratic base doesn't want it here.

It will never make it out of committee, and thanks to North LA and Baton Rouge, even if it did come to a vote of the people it would never pass. Thanks retards!

Yep, LA will be the last or at least 3rd to last, if ever.

If he's the one I'm thinking of, he has a terrible haircut and always wears terrible suits.

This ridiculous bill speaks for itself.

This will be an interesting bill considering the possible outcome. If the bill isn't passed it would be extremely hypocritical considering most modern conservatives want to see less government regulation. This could really stir up a fight. If I were in Louisiana I could try to organize some stuff. Anybody want to take a few lessons from me to try to get this thing passed?

The measure, Rep. Henry Burns' (R-Haughton) House Bill 132, would prohibit bars from serving a customer alcohol unless the customer presents a designated driver to the bartender on duty. The designated driver would have to show a valid license to the bartender. The proposed law also allows a group of people to designate a common driver.

So Taxis/Uber/getting dropped off/walking/going to bar alone are no longer acceptable?

What a clown. He should be removed from office immediately for wasting time.
