Vinyl Pool pros and cons

Looking at buying a house with a vinyl pool. Have you guys ever dealt with one of these?
Can you change it to gunite or anything else?
Is this a nightmare waiting to happen?
I have read article after article but they are all published by pool companies that want you to get your business.
Yes I am poor and can't afford a better house so take your shots.

Geaux vinyl, yes.
Much less maintenance, easier to clean than gunite.
