They only want 2 of those cops fired? Shouldn't they fire everyone involved?

Thank you! I hate it when all cops are lumped together. There are some really really good cops out there!
You can apply the same argument that is applied to muslims. Until the good ones start condemning and weeding out the bad ones, they will be viewed as complicit. Eventually this subject is going to reach a boiling point and you're going to start seeing more vigilante actions like what happened in New York a few months back, and that's not good for anybody.

There ended up with a half a dozen cops there, I only have an issue with the one that was throwing punches.
what about the one with the taser or the one choking him?

Don't fricking open your car door unless they ask you to.

The cop with the taser shows up on the scene after have being called by the 2nd police officer. What does he see- 2 of his fellow officers still struggling with the suspect.
He doesn't know that another officer has put him in the choke hold and h punched him 16 times. He sees a suspect resisting arrest.

To me.. he seemed pretty well restrained by the time the taser got involved. I agree more or less with what you said though. Unfortunately, only one of those cops will be suspended with pay probably
Also, it should be a crime for an officer to mute a mic recording him during a stop.

I'm a cop defender but this was just straight assault. The reason he was resisting was because he was instinctively covering up while getting beat upside the head. Investigation and charges are definitely warranted.

Here's the root of the problem:
Policemen are trained to treat you like a criminal until proven otherwise. Because this guy was driving through an area "known for drug dealing" and didn't pull over fast enough he was marked for potential beat down. Being dark skinned and opening that door without being asked sealed his fate.
I've been questioned for 30 minutes on the side of the road because I didn't pull over fast enough in the eyes of the cop that pulled me over. Thank god I'm white and live in a small city.

It is. I mean I'm not saying he deserved it, but keep your door closed. Opening it while they're walking up makes it seem like you're a threat. They had no idea if he had a gun and was going to pop out and kill them.

The blows, taser etc were "necessary to protect themselves".
Good fricking lord. Cops have apparently come to the conclusion that SOP should be that ANY threat no matter how small and no matter how remote justifies asinine force.
They really need to stop whining about their job being "dangerous" if, even with MULTIPLE officers on the scene and a guy already on the ground, they have to beat the shite out of you and taser you three times.
frick COPS. They really have degraded into nothing more than legalized mafia.

I mean, if you're beating on me and trying to choke me out, my natural inclination is probably going to be to try and stop the choking. People are crazy that way

Maybe you should offer classes to teach people how to deal with the cops.
A day devoted to "looking non threatening" when getting pulled over? Tips include not moving your arms too much and not opening your car door when approached.
A week devoted to learning how to not instinctively protect yourself from a beat down because the person dishing out the blows is wearing a uniform? You pass the class when someone wearing a cops uniform can put you in a sleeper hold and you immediately go limp.
You probably only need an hour to teach people to not break the law. We all know that "not breaking the law" is the easiest thing to do on earth including rolling stops, speed limits, and Jay walking.
