Just saw commercials for this on Spike tv and it doesn't seem shady at all (sarcasm). Will this be the equivalent of mail order brides or worse?

It's my understanding that it needn't be shady at all provided you understand the reality of the deal - you are entering into an "arrangement" where you marry a woman from a poor family (I mean undeveloped world peasant poor) who promises to bear your children and so on while you are promising to take care of her and her immediate family. You can be 50 years old and slightly obese provided you have a good income. For many women in this situation it's a valid escape route from horrible poverty and they're quite willing to sign up.

Cliff notes: It's a great way for two really desperate people to meet, and if it works more power to ya.

It's the, "or worse" part.

If all of the women are of age and consenting then fine but exploitation and human trafficking are an international concern with Asian and Eastern European women being a target demo.

Site just seems like the proverbial "slippery slope"

I've never met anyone with a mail order bride. Does any socially "normal" person do this? I thought it was just something talked about on shows like Taboo. I'm trying to imagine how the conversation would go when you introduce Katarina to your friends. Not that I think anyone that would patronize a mail order bride business would actually have friends, but I'd still like to be a fly on the wall for any conversation like that.
