Been meaning to start this thread.

This board has recommended some solid movies to me in my time here. I've seen the Raid movies thrown around, but was a little put off by subtitles, as I don't typically enjoy it. I took a chance and bought it a few weeks ago.

Holy shite. Seriously. It is by far the best martial arts movie I've ever seen. The fight choreography is perfect. I mean perfect. In reading about it, it appears the actors actually were landing blows in some scene.

Enter The Dragon is probably my favorite MA movie of all time. This might unseat it. Got The Raid 2 on dvr and going to watch it tonight.

Again, thanks for the recommendation folks.

The Raid 2 is one of the best action movies I've ever seen. I literally fist pumped after some of the kills like a douchebag. The camerawork is top notch.

I lol'd

I haven't seen either, but I watched the hammergirl and baseball bat boy scene with some buddies and we were all freaking out like high school douchebags

I went into the Raid 2 worried they were going to screw it up. I was 100% wrong. All they did was add a pretty decent story to the already massive amount of arse kicking they did in the first one. You will enjoy the second one as much as the first and be pleasantly surprised with a story. Also I to douchbag fist pumped multiple times.

You should check it out Carson. For someone that appreciates the movie making side of the business, it's pretty impressive work. If they used any digital effects, it was pretty sparse and hard to tell.

I liked part 1.even though it was videogamish, but there is no denying the fight choreography is some of the best I've seen.....Raid 2 was even better, and I actually enjoyed the storyline

The Raid and Raid 2 are excellent. Can't wait for the third one!

The ending fight in the 1st one is the most intense fight scene I've ever watched. The one in Raid 2 isn't far behind.

Both movies were great, but part 2 took it to another level. It was the best martial arts movies since Ong Bak or maybe D13 (I haven't seen the re-make "Brick Mansions" yet).

Btw, Tony Jaa has started making movies again. I saw the Protector 2 and it was just horrible. Was a real let down. Ong Bak and the Protector are awesome movies. I really thought Jaa was going to be a huge star. But he is in the new Fast and Furious movie..
