Other than Malik, is there anybody else who LSU is going after. If we loose out on both of Mickey and Martin we really will have no big men on the bench and I would like to have Simmons play a good bit of SF and this won't be possible if we do not have a solid bench big to play along with Victor at PF/C. Are we thinking Epps/Robinson will take a step up or are we just banking on Martin and Mickey staying?

It looks like Malik is it. They've been recruiting like they expect at least one of M&M back. I think if they thought they were losing both, they would've gone after other big men after Elijah Thomas signed with A&M. Now that might have been Victor, but I still think we would've recruited another big if both were leaving.

Musselman visited Chad Lott like 2 weeks ago. IMO it's clear he is the Plan B option to not getting Malik Newman

Hate to loose out.

Guess we better tighten it up.

Victor deserves more respect on this board, imo.

Look, Craig Victor went to Arizona and discovered his playing time would be limited for a few years, while coming to LSU means he gets plenty of time from the get go.

Just because he didn't break the line-up at Arizona doesn't mean he is not a good player.

LSU needs all the help they can get, and I for one am glad Victor is coming home to play for us.

Yeah! Freshmen never improve. If he were eligible this season we would still be playing in the tournament.

It would likely be a matchup thing. Use 3 guards when you can, use 2 when they have 3 forwards.

Yep, the only mistake here was Victor choosing Arizona over us. Victor was that key piece we were missing in the front court this year.

People are going to be surprised about Victor!! He's a taller Mickey with more muscle and even more toughness. He has a mean streak, can play back to the basket or step out to 12-15ft and shoot jumpers as well!1 Anyone who saw him at St Aug or at Monteverde can attest to his skillset! Why do u think Sean Miller recruited him so hard!! Y'all have been FOREWARNED!!!

I love your enthusiasm, and can only hope to have a lineup with Newman, blakeney , Victor and Simmons... I believe Victor went to Findlay prep in Nevada, if memory serves that's when we knew he was gone. Glad he's back where he belongs

He transferred for personal/family reasons. The kid is a stud D1 player. Ask any Arizona fan.

No reason to argue with the ignorant...

His playing time had picked up significantly when he left. He went from 3-5 minutes a game to 8-10 a game.

Victor will be fine at LSU. Just don't expect him to match Mickey's production. You would be hard pressed to find someone who could. We're talking about a guy that until the last 4-5 weeks was on the short list for SEC POY.

Epps should improve. He showed moments of nice play, and I can't think we get absolutely nothing again from Robinson. If so, shame on the coaching staff.

Id be surprised if Epps didn't improve, i don't expect Darcy to improve too much, and Elbert I'm not sure what to expect

Coincidentally, I talked to someone this morning who knows a little bit about Melvin Frazier and his situation. He said he really thinks he wants to play at LSU. Currently wouldn't qualify but apparently he is very close to being able to do so. He has an offer. My guess is he still ends up at Arkansas, but just thought I would share. If we don't get Newman, he would be a great next option.

Here's a video of him throwing it off the backboard to himself at the all star game (I guess this was last night):
