A Florida line cook has been busted trying to sell live iguanas that he'd hog-tied to his bicycle.

Jeremy Dugas allegedly hawked the critters he claimed he'd caught at a local golf club outside the Banana Cafe restaurant in Key West at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Keys Info Net reported.

The 35-year-old is accused of strapping three of the defenseless creatures to his handlebars with duct tape and wire.

He then attempted to peddle the lizards, which were bound behind their backs, to a passersby by saying they'd be perfect to cook for dinner.

I used to fly to San Juan a lot, and at certain times of the year, iguanas by the hundreds would lay out on the taxi way, so when you cleared the runway they basically had it blocked off, they weren't scared of a 757, they would all stand up and face us, but when we called out the little white airport truck they would haul arse, because they knew somebody was about to buss sum caps, those things get pretty big, I watched a guy shoot a couple of them and throw them into the back of the truck, they were longer than the guy was tall

Nothing new here. I have seen roadside vendors in S. Florida grilling them kabob style. Just another reason why I would never reside in S. FL.

they're there, not because they're native but because idiots let them loose and they're breeding, like the S. Amer. snakes that are being set loose in the glades

We eat gator, frog legs, turtle, and crawfish. Iguana might be just as good.
