Buzzed about indie horror film "It Follows" gets wide theatrical release

The buzz for this movie keeps getting bigger and bigger.

“The movie is performing big so we are going to chase it,” said David Glasser, chief operating officer of the Weinstein Co.
“It Follows” opened last weekend with a surprising $160,089 at four theaters — two in Los Angeles and two in New York. It will move into about 40 theaters on Friday and more than 1,000 theaters on the following Friday, Glasser said.

Doubt it will play here. The Babadook got similar buzz last year and didn't play here either.

What's the plot?
I read a bunch about "The Babdook" last year, but it never caught my attention. Just didn't seem like a good movie. Generic "they're coming" "woman screaming annoyingly" "my son sees shite" "scary knocking noises in the house" looking movie.
It got alot of love on here though, so i might ge around to watching it.

I actually saw a preview for this in the theater recently, though I don't remember what movie I was watching.
I'm actually pretty excited to see it. It looks fun and like it could be pretty scary/tense.

theres this girl and a guy shes dating. they have sex, the guy then takes her to a warehouse. he tells her about this curse. the curse is a spirit which manifests as a person, could be someone you know or could be a stranger, and it follows you. if it catches you, it kills you. if you have the curse, you can pass it on to someone else by having sex with them and then the curse chases them. then the curse just goes down the line of people who have had it. so this guy passes the curse onto her. and the movie is about her dealing with the curse

it was meh. I wouldn't necessarily call it bad, but its nowhere near all of the love its getting

I have heard from critics I trust saying they absolutely loved it. They've been talking nonstop about it for months.
