and since when do pit bulls become service dogs?

quote:

Ian Anderson of San Diego told The Huffington Post he was sleeping in his home when officers pounded on his door at 5 a.m. Sunday over a domestic disturbance call. The 24-year-old man said police had the wrong house.

The knocking woke up Anderson and his 6-year-old pit bull, Burberry, who started barking until Anderson opened the door for the officers.

In a surveillance video obtained by HuffPost, one of the officers can be seen petting the dog. Burberry then runs over to the other officer, who backs away, drawing his weapon. Burberry keeps following the officer, and seconds later -- off-screen -- the cop fatally shoots Burberry in the head.

The non accountability/credibility/humanity in the modern police force is no longer shocking.

This is disturbing yet nothing will happen to the officer because in a few weeks his superior will say they found no wrongdoing in how their guy handled it.

I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around how he thought it would be okay to let the dog out front. Around cops, at that.

There's a cop in my extended family and when he comes over to visit, I lock my dog up in a cage.

TRIGGER WARNING!

Oh, it's just a pitbull. Not a real dog on the OT.

Take the pic off the thread and let anyone who wants to see it click the link. Nobody wants to see a dead dog like that

So the whole "when someone is charging an officer, they have every right to use lethal force" only applies to black people? Got it

Sue the POS cop.
If he's that much of a pussy he doesn't need to be on the job.

This would make a very interesting statistic: which is more likely to result in an officer's death- a confrontation with either a pit bull or a black male?

My bet is black male.

Oh please, that cop probably saved the faces of 3-4 kids by taking that demon beast out. He should have popped a cap in Cool Water and Polo Sport while he was at it.

Lucky for you the OP edited and put the pic behind a link. When I first opened this thread the pic was posted and you couldn't avoid it.

American society in general has become very much more loving and fuzzy about dogs in the last 20 years, to the point many people get more upset about the welfare of a dog than that of a child.

Yet, at the same time, cops have become so frightened of dogs or filled with blood lust for them that they practically murder dogs on site.

There's your sociology or psychology thesis idea. Get to work and explain.

If a cop would do that to my dog and nothing done to him, I would absolutely make something bad happen to that cops life that disturded him
