I would go with the 16ga, but I am a fan of them.

Just bought my first model 11 today, its a 20 gauge, 2 3/4 with full choke, very rough outside, but damn it's sweet. I have had a couple of sweet 16s though, and love them also.

I have six 16 gauges so you could say I am bias. They have plenty of power and light to carry. Great rabbit, squirrel and dove guns.

To me, the 16 is the most effective round on all birds except waterfowl.

so far, that's 2 upvotes for the sweet 16, these model 11s were available in all gauges though. Thoughts on the other gauge model 11s?

I own both. Well I did. Gave the sweet sixteen to my grandson. By far the Browning fit/shot 10X's better. It was a naturel fit throwing it up to shoot.

Oh, a 16 is a fine gun to shoot ducks. I still have my first shotgun that is a 16 ga crack barrel and I shot a shite load of ducks with that sucker. Was able to shoot and reload on a group of birds by holding a extra shell in my left hand.

I have a very nice Model 11 12 gauge with a 30" full and 26" IC with solid rib barrels. It is my favorite gun for teal season with #4. Not fond of the small sharp safety on them, or the fact that you have to push the button to load, but I love it and plan to buy several more. Always wanted a Sweet 16, but don't have any yet.
