Turns out Tebow has been working diligently with Tom House (also Tom Brady's personal coach) in Los Angeles over the last two years, sharpening his skills and hoping for one last shot. House told us on Friday that he isn't sure if Tebow will be attending the combine, but "he went from being a little inaccurate and didn't throw a whole lot of spirals, to throwing very accurate and real good at spinning the ball."

Fox's Bruce Feldman, who wrote a book about quarterbacks, says Tebow now is "fixed:"

Tom House--private QB coach to Brees & TomBrady-told me Tim Tebow's throwing motion is "fixed"--all the UF star needs is another shot #TheQB

— Bruce Feldman (@BruceFeldmanCFB) March 16, 2015

quote:

B/R: What is Tebow doing differently now than he was the last time we saw him two years ago?

House: I honestly believe that everybody who was trying to help Tim, everybody who thought they "fixed" him, they probably did temporarily fix him. But Tim didn't have enough repetition for it to become autonomic. When he got into competition, with the stresses and anxieties that come with the competitive situation, he fell back to his old habits.

The difference now is that he has put in the reps. There have been 10,000-plus reps. If he gets a chance to play again and gets back to competition, it's hard-wired now. He doesn't have to think about it.

B/R: Tebow's delivery was idiosyncratic. Are there some things you don't try to correct in a quarterback's delivery?

House: If you give them proper mechanics, the idiosyncrasies go away. I think that Tim has found his efficient throwing motion. He did all the work. We just showed him the drills specific to his strength and mechanical requirements. He did the work to reinforce it.

B/R: Does that mean Tebow's motion is shorter or more compact?

House: If you remember the old Tim Tebow, or you looked at old film, then you look at it now, you could see the difference. What that means to him or to you or to my eyes isn't really important. What matters is that he is releasing the ball more efficiently, with better spin and accuracy, at the right time.

So does Tebow get another shot after his mechanics have been fixed?

Why shouldn't he? he is probably better than most starting QB's in the NFL. Plus, in college he played against better defenses than them. Would be a good fit for Philly and the hurry up read offense

I think out of all of the teams, philly might be one of the best ones he could go to.

I'm not religious, but I pray this happens.

America needs more athletes like Tebow.

This is why we should have IQ tests to determine who reproduces.

No QB has ever transformed his throwing motion that drastically to make it successful

Sure he can do it throwing in a controlled workout environment after two years of practice...but once you get in the game or in live actions, instincts take over

Most is strong, but he's better than many that started games since his absence.

QB's in the NFL..some of these clowns I've never even heard of!

Are you kidding me? To say he doesn't belong in the NFL after seeing this list you would have to be an idiot...plain and simple

GIVE ME 30 SECONDS ON THE CLOCK!

quote:

Ryan Lidley? Historically bad QB
Kyle Orton? Retired, but yes Orton was better.
Jay Cutler? Really? Yes obviously Cutler is better.
Andy Dalton? Tebow has a soul, but Andy has everything else.
Casey Keenon? Spelled incorrectly, but yes better stats.
Ryan Tannehill? Obviously.
Teddy Bridgewater? You mean the offensive rookie of the year?
Geno Smith? Literally still had better stats on shittier teams.
Sam Bradford? He's not horrible, just constantly injured.
MARK SANCHEZ?? Beat Timmy out of a job.
Shaun Hill? Wouldn't have started had people not become injured.
Josh McGown? Career backup, still better

Because he was paid more. As I've said before, tim needed a better agent. Look at the $$$ being paid Sanchez...of course he is going to play!
