Full Game Video of Malik Newman vs LSU Aussie offer (USA vs Australia)

Looking through some Malik Newman videos again, and came across the 2014 FIBA Under 17 World Gold Metal Championship game.

If you haven't seen it, Malik scores 21 pts (most of it in the 1st and 4th quarters) and wins the championship game MVP and overall tournament MVP.

But there is also a 2016 6-2 Aussie SG in this game who goes off for 29 pts (most of it in the 1st and 4th quarters) and is named to the all-tournament team. His name is Dejan Vasiljevic and he has an LSU Offer. St Mary's has an Aussie pipeline, too, so they might be our toughest competitor for him next year.

The game doesn't start until the 9:58 minute mark into the video and lasts 2.5 hours long. So if you got the time to spare, it's actually a pretty good game to watch. Australia led early, lost the lead, then made the USA sweat a little before America won the Gold 99-92 which is pretty close for international games.





PS---Not playing in the above linked game, but speaking of Aussie offers, there's a Class of 2017 6-9 SF that LSU has also offered early. His name is Daniel Mading and looks like a gangly Johnny O'Bryant. video link
